Introduction

Chill Creatures LLC ("we", "us", or "our") makes Calorie Tape ("the App"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: the App doesn't collect any personal data. Everything you log stays on your iPhone.

Information we collect

None. The App has no account, no sign-in and no server, and it makes no network calls of its own. We never receive your food log, the foods you create, your targets or your settings.

What stays on your device

Your food log, custom foods, daily targets and preferences are stored only on your iPhone. Like any app's data, they are included in your iPhone's backups to iCloud or your computer if you've turned those on. Those backups are governed by Apple's terms and your own settings.

Camera and photos

The camera is used only when you scan a barcode or photograph a food package. Photos you take or choose are read on your iPhone to fill in the food's details, then discarded. They are never saved by the App or sent anywhere. When you choose photos, the App can see only the ones you pick.

Apple Intelligence

Where Apple Intelligence is available, the App uses Apple's on-device model to read a package's name and brand from your photos. It runs entirely on your iPhone.

Purchases

If you make an in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment. We don't receive your payment details or any information that identifies you. Apple shares only aggregated sales reports with us.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

The App contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports, which help us fix bugs.

This website

This site uses no cookies or analytics. Cloudflare, which hosts it, processes basic request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect it.

Children's privacy

The App collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to share or delete. Your data is on your iPhone: delete a food or an entry in the App, or delete the App to remove everything it stored.

California residents

We don't sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and we don't collect any.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its "Last updated" date. A change that affects your data will also be noted in the App's release notes.
